What is 'Smart' Monsters University?

 

 

Our project was inspired by the movie, Monsters University. We tried creating a “smart” replica of the campus, linking to the public industry. There are five main functions we added in MU.

 

They are…

• LCD displays “Welcome to Monsters U”

• Ongoing water fountain

• Dorm lights that go on when it gets dark

• Opening the university gate upon scanning an ID card

• Resetting after each alarm is called

 

Our of the project was to put ourselves into the perspective of the students attending Monsters University, adding alerts that will be most convenient for them. We went through many sleepless nights, going through multiple design implementation processes and are exciting for you to read through the rest of our project portfolio to have a glimpse of our the design methodologies and thought put in to create an effective Smart MU.
